Just learned about your blog through Twitter, and it's awesome! Your post is a great shout-out for BioBlitz, and we are excited to also be co-sponsoring the event and promoting it across the Chicago region. I'm excited to go and species count for the full 24 hours (yikes!), and I hope to see other scientists and science enthusiasts there! Chicagoans can learn more on our website as well, http://www.sciencechicago.com/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=9569&topic=.

Happy investigating!

Hi Darlene:

Saw your blog this morning. We kept
28 turtles in our basement when I was a kid. Named them after all of our
favorite teachers.(with really good 19th century names like Wava, Vermadale,
Marcella, Olva, etc.)

Marcella used to watch my mother do
the laundry and then walk away and go eat a bug after she was finished.
She also used to listen to me practice the trumpet.

Cheers,

I just found your site through Twitter - and I love it (anyone who features Penn & Teller in their video gets bonus points from me).

I'd love it if you could check out our video - part shameless commercial, part fun science - if you enjoy Monty Python, you'll get the reference pretty quickly - www.AdventuresOfAna.com

And, here's a couple of examples where we're trying to bring science to some classrooms here in Delaware as well as entertain people with various applications - http://www.analtech.com/analtech-general-manager-demonstrates-chromatography-to-biotechnology-class.html

http://www.analtech.com/analtech-reveals-green-beer-is-not-green.html

Let me know what you think - and let me know if there's any way we can help in your efforts.

Thanks!
