Green Sports
There’s an effort to make professional sports green. Take, for example, WePlayGreen.org (founded by Chris Dickerson from the Cincinnati Reds and Jack Cassel from the Cleveland Indians). Their site uses professional athletes to build awareness and give tips for creating a greener environment.
I learned about WePlayGreen.org at PlayItGreen.com (aka “the Green Sports Blog”) where Brita Belli sifts through and promotes environmentally friendly sports activities. She recently featured the Science Cheerleader so, naturally, I think she’s cooler than ever.
