And the winner is…

Earlier this week, the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation, an independent Federal government agency I’ve had the pleasure of working with for many years, selected James J. Thomas, Laboratory Fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), as this year’s recipient of the $25,000 Homeland Security Award for his pioneering leadership in the new science research field of visual analytics.  The Homeland Security Award is sponsored by AgustaWestland North America, a Foundation partner since 2006.
