Science Cheerleaders perform at the USA Science and Engineering Festival 2012The Science Cheerleaders perform professionally choreographed, science-themed routines that are sure to inspire your audience. They also perform personal, upbeat cameos describing their science degrees and professions that will impress even the most skeptical of audience members (we know, we’ve seen it happen!). And they’re sure to draw a big crowd! Concerned about the uniforms? No worries. We have warm ups and lab coats! We can even create customized cheers and science activities tied to your message.

Mentoring/Educational activities

Hammond High School/Science Cheerleader mentoring programThe Science Cheerleader mentor young women and get people from all walks of life involved in citizen science projects (real research projects in need of volunteers from the public!). We’ll select from over 500 curated science projects available on our sister-site, SciStarter, to match your audience. For example, we led science cheers to teach people about geology and seismic activities using a super sensitive sensor from the U.S. Geological Survey. All participating venues were then networked into the USGS’s long-term earthquake monitoring program! With our national education partner, Pop Warner, we’ve led science jumping cheers to get hearts pumping while we teach about biology and chemistry! Our messages can be tailored to align with your goals while supporting these important projects.

Last year, for example, we set a Guinness World Record with our national youth cheer partner, Pop Warner. Let us help you put your initiative on the map! Did we mention that Darlene Cavalier, the founder of Science Cheerleader and SciStarter, cut her marketing teeth at the Walt Disney Company? That was after she was a cheerleader for the Philadelphia 76ers. Let’s just say, she’ll help you craft a killer program.
